Tenaj has large gardens at the front and rear, both with sitting areas, and the added bonus of a terrace; a perfect place for breakfast, an early evening drink or just relaxing after a long cycle through the beautiful Forest of Dean. This is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside, including Symonds Yat, and the many beautiful towns close by. LYDBROOK
Ross-on-Wye 7 miles; Symonds Yat 7 miles; Monmouth 10 miles. The lovely village of Lydbrook is situated between the Wye Valley and The Royal Forest of Dean, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nestling amidst the village's picturesque houses are the delightful tea rooms, fish and chip shop and a number of pubs with restaurants. Close by is the famous Goodrich Castle, a perfect example of a 12th century "Marcher Castle", while just 7 miles away, overlooking a large loop in the River Wye, is the historic market town of Ross-on-Wye, in the heart of rural Herefordshire. This attractive town has timbered Tudor houses clustered around the striking 17th Century Market Hall, and there are excellent shops, pubs and restaurants to suit every taste. Stroll along the lovely river bank, take a river cruise or view the surrounding countryside from a hot-air balloon. Enjoy trips to Symonds Yat, Hay-on-Wye, the Black Mountains and the Forest of Dean. |
